FORMULA R1 RACING REAR BRAKE
is the lighter version of the R1. The famous XC-brake was once more reduced in weight by using carbon and titanium. At just 267g (incl. rotor and 85cm hose), it is one of the lightest disc brakes on the market. This is achieved by the specifically use of carbon and titanium.
It combines astonishingly low weight with top-level power and performance. The R1 Racing also generates enough power for All Mountain or Enduro use.
The brake lever of the R1 Racing features a revolutionary radial pull master cylinder. It is embedded in a forged body which is combined with a high capacity reservoir and a carbon lever. Furthermore it is equipped with lightweight titanium hardware. Furthermore the two piece master cylinder makes it possible to remove the lever without taking off anything else from the bar. master cylinder allows lever to be mounted on either side of the bar. High-resistance Kevlar braided hose for minimum weight. Titan handle bar mount screws. Polished surface with laser etched logo.
One piece patented forged caliper body with 22mm pistons. Aluminum-backed brake pads with organic compound for additional weight savings. Top and bottom vented caliper body for maximum cooling and performance. Patent-pending caliper cap/piston system aids in compact design and increased fluid capacity. Top loading pads simplify pad changes. Enhanced Caliper Technology (ECT) for best piston retraction and easy installation.
